Every Christian is called to participate in missions (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 5:18-20)!  It is our goal to provide opportunities locally, in North America and Internationally.

LOCALLY: IBC has a sister congregation called IBE, which is a Spanish-speaking church at our location. We have had a partnership with them for over 15 years. Our churches ministry groups (Iron Men, Women on Mission, Students) regularly serve our community through: service projects (ramps, repairs, painting, and etc.), Bible clubs, helping the local women’s center, provided food to needy families, and much more. We also help support Associated Charities, a local organization that supplies food and assistance to those in need. IBC started and administrates the Living Water Community Clinic, which provides free health care services to the uninsured. We coordinate volunteers from across the community to provide a range of services, including a pharmacy. IBC is also committed to helping with Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief. We have around 25 members trained in disaster relief ministry.  Our volunteers have served in Guthrie, Enid, Moore, Oklahoma City, Blackwell, Nardin, Newkirk, and in rural Kay county after severe storms. We coordinated with Kay Baptist Association to purchase a disaster relief trailer that will allow us to bring equipment to help with disasters in Oklahoma and all over North America.

NORTH AMERICA: IBC joined in a partnership with the Kay Baptist Association (27 churches) in 2017 to help support and plant new churches in Nebraska. We have been helping organize and send teams to do construction projects, Bible clubs, outreach, training, and block parties during the summer.  We also have sent mission teams out through World Changers to Missouri, North Carolina, Texas, Wyoming and more. We will continue to prayerfully consider and engage new opportunities.

INTERNATIONALLY: IBC has sent members on mission trips around the world including: Wales, China, Belize, Mexico, Armenia, Puerto Rico, and Haiti.  IBC worked with IBE to help start and support a Mission Church in El Rosario, just outside of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. We traveled there to do VBS, outreach services, puppet shows, give away clothing, perform baptisms, and help encourage the local believers. IBC started a partnership in 2017 to help start churches in Guerrero, Mexico.  This Mexican state is almost entirely unchurched with less than 6% of the population being Evangelical Christians. Due to violence in the area, we have not been able to continue those trips at this time. In 2019, we started a partnership on the small island of Vieques, Puerto Rico. This small island is still suffering from Hurricane Maria and only has one small Baptist church. We will be giving support to that local church and doing projects to help those still in dire need.

IBC is very engaged in the financial support of missions. We give around 10% of our undesignated receipts to support missions through the Southern Baptist Convention. We also take an additional “Send Hope” Missions Offering annually that goes directly to missionaries throughout the world.

Additionally, we include budget support for missionaries connected to IBC, including the Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) at NOC, Tonkawa, Cody and Melissa Biby at a BCM in Colorado, and Mark and Brenda Brown with Cru.
